Very nice. I registered my text generator site on 3/4... and today, 12 days later it sits at #4 in the Google SERPs for "adult text generator. All I did was post about it in a forum.

Nice blog btw... enjoying the reads and actually learning something. I'll be back ;) At least there is no Paul Markham here!

I am interested to hear your ideas. I manage Cam4 from a UK perspective. We are just starting to promote cam.co.uk in the UK. We are doing the usual link trades/purchases, UK friendly keywords etc.

What ideas can you put forward to generating more uk traffic. We have been in the game for a while so know the basics...

Look forward to hearing from you.

Brilliant post, mate. Just one thing I'd like to add.

I think it's a mistake to lump the entire music industry together as one because if you take a closer look at who are the most successful musicians and producers of today, both from a financial and a creative standpoint, you will see that most come from either the world of hip hop or from bands known to perform well live.

Why does this matter?

Back in the 80s in the early days of hip hop, which was way before the genre finally caught on with mainstream media and with suburban white kids, it's fanbase was largely urban and largely poor which is something that obviously did not intially translate well from a sales perspective. It is a genre that was built on the trading of bootleg cassette tapes. But instead of sitting around and bitching about how their fans were a bunch of ingrate pirates and trying to figure out how bst to control them and make them HAVE to buy their music, the pioneers from the business side of the industry went out and did other shit. Russell Simmons started Phat Farm in the early 90s. He also produced Def Comedy Jam. Diddy and Hova followed suit in the late 90s with Sean John and Rocaware. And of course the mid-1990s there was Wu-Wear. http://www.erobeats.com/11/cream-source-awards/
